Our Beliefs

God speaks through many teachers, East and West, ancient and contemporary. God doesn't have a religion, but is in all religions and spiritual paths.

The laws of the Universe work through love. Love of God, love of self and love of each other.

All splendor is revealed through the discovery and release of that which is within each individual.

Each person is an unique expression of God.

What we give, whether it be love, talent, time or dollars, circulates back to us.

Freedom belongs to everyone.

God is in, as and through all creation. Everything and everyone is sacred.

It is possible to live together, to advance together, to synthesize our differences and reveal Oneness.

Our Roots and Our "Now"

The Positive Living Center is part of the Affiliated New Thought Network (ANTN) and also an Affiliate Center of the Emerson Theological Institute. The core philosophy embraces the idea that religion is of the heart -- a process of experiencing and awakening to our Divinity through the discovery of the Christ within us. We believe that every person has inherent "God-power within," and by changing our thinking, we can change our lives.

The PLC's roots are Religious Science founded by Dr. Ernest Holmes, a self-taught philosopher, who studied the world's spiritual paths all his life. In 1927 he wrote the book, The Science of Mind, a seminal work which is the foundation of the Center's beliefs.

Exploring practical ways of living our lives, the Center has no "creed" as such. We each look into our own heart for what is truth.

We Are One!

Love and peace live at the Positive Living Center and are reflected in the hugs, the laughter and tears, the genuine caring of one for the other at our Sunday services, classes, spiritual family nights, drumming circles, Reiki healings and social events.  We are One!
