Cheyenne Hernandez

Cheyenne Hernandez

Cheyenne Hernandez’s love of singing was inspired by her mother, who sang to her almost every night before bed as a child. She loves to write poetry and has performed as a singer since her early school days in Bakersfield, Ca. Since then, Cheyenne has been traveling the world on a journey of healing, experiencing other cultures, performing, working on several recording projects, and playing solo in several bands in Mariposa, Merced, and Oakhurst. Cheyenne lives in Mariposa, Ca, and is honored to be a part of the rich arts and music community that thrives there. Cheyenne plays an eclectic mix of folk, Latin, reggae, pop, and medicine music with an occasional twist of rock. She is a blessing to all those who have the opportunity to hear her play.

She sang in church folk groups starting in junior high and continued through graduate school. She has performed in folk song circles and occasional other venues for over 40 years. Her music speaks to the heart and uplifts the soul.
